CLARISSA SPATA was a Quarter Finalist on The Voice Australia 2020, making the final Top 5 of Delta Goodrem's team. She also was a judge on Channel 7's "All Together Now", the panel was headed by pop star Ronan Keating.
A versatile Soprano, Clarissa performs a range of repertoire from Opera to Music Theatre, to Jazz. She graduated with Distinction as a Voice Major at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she studied under Maree Ryan and Maestro Simon Kenway. She realized her dream of being an opera singer when at the young age of 11, was chosen to be a part of the Opera Australia Children's Chorus, singing in repeat seasons of Cavalleria Rusticana/I Pagliacci, Turandot and La Boheme, directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Clarissa has won several awards including Opera Foundation Australia's Lady Fairfax New York Award, The Royal Overseas League Bursary Award, she was twice awarded The Dame Joan Sutherland Encouragement Award, the Pollard People's Choice Award for Performance Excellence and was recognised as an Outstanding Artist by the McDonald's Performing Arts Challenge.
Clarissa has sung principal roles with Opera Australia's Touring Company, including Frasquita from Carmen in the upcoming National Tour of Carmen, she has performed the roles of Pamina, First Lady and Papagena in The Magic Flute, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Cinderella and Clorinda and Tisbe in Cinderella and the Soprano roles of Clown/Lady Sue in the Australian opera production of Sid The Serpent Who Wanted To Sing. She has performed the role of Papagena on the National tour of The Magic Flute, and has also covered Musetta in La Bohème on Sydney Harbour for Opera Australia (HOSH). She has also performed the role of Micaëla in Opera New England's Carmen, and toured China performing First Lady in Die Zaubeflöte and High Priestess in Aïda with Australian International Productions.
Other repertoire include the roles of the Sorceress and First Witch in two separate productions of Dido and Aenaes, Quivera in The Indian Queen, Gianetta in The Gondoliers, Cosette in Les Miserables, Kate/Lilli Vanessi in Kiss Me Kate and Jenny Lind in Barnum.
Clarissa has toured Japan with ENCORE Vocal group, has sung "in disguise" in SMA Productions' incognito shows such as Opera by Disguise, as the role of Maria DeAngelo, regularly performs with The 7 Sopranos as a core member (Australian operatic group created by Soprano and Director, Tarita Botsman) and recorded on their self titled album with the ABC in 2013, and their second Album in 2015 "Popcorn - Songs of Stage & Screen."
Concert Performances include: Performing the Soprano lead with Willoughby Symphony Orchestra in their Mozart Requiem, conducted by Maestro Paul Fitzsimon, followed by a National Tour of China, performing a Showcase of Music Theatre favorites from Phantom of the Opera, The King and I, Westside Story and The Sound of Music.
A concert for Opera in the Aboretum as principal Soprano alongside Teddy Tahu-Rhodes and James Egglestone in Opera in the Arboretum with Pearl Beach Opera, conducted by Patrick Brennan, she also regularly appeared as the Soprano operatic role for Princess Cruises mainstage production of BRAVO as a guest artist, as well as performing her new operatic duo show called Le Stelle, with Baritone Javier Vilarino., launching 9 casts touring Asia , New zealand, Australia and The Pacific Islands.
Clarissa has supported Rick Price on his Australian Sydney tour, and has been a regular guest Soprano for Sony Music's Mark Vincent in his "Love Will Lead the way" and "Young at Heart" tours around NSW, as well as touring as a principal Soprano for Australian Global Productions "An Afternoon at The Proms Spectacular."

Clarissa is also the Soprano and Creative Director of FUSION Vocal Group which combines the talents of 3-4 professional singers, singing repertoire from Opera, Musical Theatre and Jazz. She performs in concerts, Luxury Cruise Liners and Corporate Functions both Nationally and Internationally.
